Sprout Snap!

Most of my newer diapers are from this pattern, the Sprout Snap. It is a great one size pattern that really does fit newborn through potty training. This is a front-opening pocket with snap closure. The trifold insert is microfiber and flannel. Love these colors!

Latest projects

Here are some highlights over the past year:

These are called fitted diapers. They are all one piece, but require a cover. The inside fabric is suedecloth, which is soft and wicks moisture away from the baby's skin. They are size M-XL

This is a Newborn-Medium diaper with hook & loop (velcro) closure. It is All-In-One (AIO) which means it doesn't need a cover- just attach like a disposable, use, and reuse!

Here's my first attempt at training pants. The sides are stretchy fabric.

This is a One Size diaper. It should fit NB through potty training. It is a pocket, so it gets stuffed with absorbent material. I painted the banana and monkey. :-)

Ode to CDs

I have discovered a love for sewing, especially diapers, so I decided to make a special blog for my sewing creations. The main goal is for this to serve as a gallery, as I plan to start selling diapers any day now, both locally and on-line. So, for the first post here I have a synopsis of what I have been creating over the past year or so. It has been quite a journey of learning and experimenting. Perhaps I'll make a different post soon explaining our journey into the wonderful world of cloth diapering. :-)

These are Multi-sized diapers. I combined sizes Medium-XL, adjustable via snapping:

Inserts/doublers: These are tri-fold microfiber with a fleece topper:

This is a size medium "soaker"- like a diaper cover/shorts

These are Mama Pads, my own pattern. Top layer flannel, inner layer microfiber, bottom is fleece.
